The students at Bertha Kennedy and Holy Family Catholic schools have made great strides in their literacy skills. All it takes is 20 minutes a day of reading to build up those literacy skills. Playing word games like Boggle and Scrabble (Scrabble junior for the younger children) are fun ways to build vocabulary. Reading aloud to each other also helps to build vocabulary and fluency in reading.
